At Mattes Seafood, our facility and experienced team work together to support your business. Located in Aberdeen, Maryland, our operation spans more than 25,000 square feet dedicated to receiving, processing, storing, and distributing seafood.

Quality Control from the Start
Fresh fish arrives daily, and quality checks begin before a shipment is unloaded. Our team inspects incoming seafood for temperature and condition, accepting only products that meet our specifications. Careful receiving and handling help maintain quality from arrival through delivery.
Experienced Seafood Preparation
Our skilled processing team brings hands-on knowledge to handling and preparing a wide variety of fish, including salmon, tuna, and swordfish. Each product is carefully processed and packaged with attention to quality, freshness, and consistency.
Specialized Seafood Storage
Our facility includes temperature-controlled coolers, a dedicated freezer with capacity for more than 100 pallets, and a self-contained live lobster holding system that accommodates up to 6,000 pounds.
These capabilities allow us to handle a broad selection of fresh, frozen, and live seafood while maintaining appropriate storage conditions for each product.
Careful Packing & Refrigerated Delivery
Our warehouse team selects and packs each order with close attention to product and quantity. Orders are loaded into our refrigerated trucks for delivery throughout our service area.
Coordination between our sales, processing, warehouse, and delivery teams helps ensure your seafood arrives as ordered.
Daily Cleaning & Responsible Use of Resources
Thorough cleaning is part of our daily routine. Cutting and filleting surfaces are washed, floors are scrubbed, and processing areas are cleaned to support our quality and food-handling standards.
We also collect fish trimmings for reuse in pet food production, reducing waste and making practical use of more of each fish.
